Cutting Directions
One (1) Pattern 1 from Fabric A
One (1) Pattern 4 from Fabric B
One (1) Pattern 2,3,and 5 from Fabric C

Step 1- Drafting the Pattern

On a large sheet of pattern making paper, draw a 15” x 25” rectangle.
Take a ruler and draft the following lines following Diagram 1. Label each
piece, you will have a total of five pattern pieces. Cut pieces out on the lines drafted. Follow cutting directions provided above.

Step 2- Sewing the Pattern

Sew pattern piece 1 and 2 with right sides together following Diagram 2.

Sew pattern 3 to the piece made in Diagram 2. (Diagram 3)

Sew pattern piece 4 to the piece made in Diagram 3. (Diagram 4)

Sew pattern piece 5 to the piece made in Diagram 4. (Diagram 5)

You should now have a rectangle that looks like Diagram 6.

Step 3- Quilting

Cut out a piece of batting a few inches bigger then your rectangle. Quilt as desired. I used Aurifil’s  medium mint #2835   thread. I decided to echo the pattern pieces in my pillow
making triangles and adding a few horizontal and vertical lines here and there  at 1/4” and 1/2” spaces.  Square off piece.

Step 4- Creating the Backing

After squaring off your piece measure the height of your pillow. Cut out two rectangles at the height and at 20” length.

Place backing and the front of your pillow right sides together fold raw edges over. Repeat this step with the other backing piece. Make fold big enough where the two
backing pieces will overlap about 3” . (Diagram 8.1 and 8.2) Sew together backing and front pillow at 1/2” seam allowance.  Flip right side of pillow through the opening in
the backing.
